Young Money rapper Drake‘s tour records have leaked online and reveal the emcee banking in an estimated $155,000 per show.
Drizzy’s ability to pull in such large per show amounts makes him one of the highest paid rap acts currently performing.
In a recent list by thesmokinggun.com, documents reveal that the Toronto rapper pulls in over $100,000 dollars per show. His estimated total per show of $155,000 per show, currently makes him among the highest-paid acts in all of Hip Hop that are CURRENTLY touring. However, Drake’s dominance in Hip-Hop is nowhere as dominating to the Country and Pop scene. The list reveals some of the others acts who receive more than Drake, and topping in at number one are the “Rascal Flatts,” who make more than 4 times what Drake makes per show. (Hip Hop Wired)
Although Drake’s shows generate large amounts, the rapper is reportedly toward the bottom of the list compared to other artists.
Drake is far outdone by acts such as Rascal Flatts ($702,500), Kiss ($500,000), Keith Urban ($487,500) and Justin Bieber ($300,000). However, the Toronto emcee’s price eclipses Selena Gomez‘ ($100,000), “American Idol” winner Kris Allen ($12,500), Sheryl Crow ($146,500) and Jordin Sparks ($75,000). (Hip Hop DX)
Rapper Wiz Khalifa recently made headlines after publicly turning down an opportunity to tour with Drake over the summer.
“It just lets me know that I’m doin’ what I need to be doin’ as far as stayin’ relevant and stayin’ poppin’. But I think to keep me poppin’ and keep me relevant I gotta stay buildin’ on top of what I’m doin’ and what I been doin’. No disrespect to Cuz or anybody else who might wanna see me do some more collaborative things, but to keep buildin’ and keep my brand as strong as what it is, I gotta keep focusin’ on what it is. This is my first tour that I got comin’ up, the Waken Baken tour, I gotta at least kick that off and make that it what it is so we can do ten more…I’m real happy for Drake and real proud of Drake. I was lookin’ on the Internet and that [he] made $10 million this year. So maybe when I make $10 million then we can tour.” (XXL Mag)
Wiz was one of few other select artists Drizzy wanted to appear on his Light Dreams & Nightmares tour with him.
“You know we was trying to get Wiz on the tour,” he said, simultaneously informing listeners and his team who were hanging out in the room and clearly didn’t know what he was referring to. The MC then addressed his fans once again: “Hopefully, the Light Dreams [and] Nightmares Tour, depending on what city we go to, it’ll be Clipse, Bun B and Wiz Khalifa. That’s what I’m hoping. I don’t know, maybe I spoke too soon…If Wiz by any chance watches this, you gotta make some calls for me and make this happen. We got that young energy right now, we need to go out here and kill these people.” (MTV)
