Drake’s Date W/ Hollywood Hottie Sparks Massive Backlash: “They Were Like, ‘F*ck You'”

Young Money's Drake appears to be a busy man these days as Hollywood actress Kat Dennings has revealed a secret date they recently had and the backlash she received from fans.

According to Dennings, their seemingly overnight romance all started from a Twitter mention.

On Monday’s Chelsea Lately, the 2 Broke Girls star was asked by Chelsea Handler about rumors that the actress was “trying to be seduced” by the rapper. “Hey, listen: Let’s get this right for one second,” Dennings said. “What happened was, and I’m glad we’re talking about this, Drake was super nice and said something on Twitter about me. I had met him when I was, like, 19 when I was doing an indie film in Toronto, and so he said something, and I didn’t realize that happened. So when I got home, I had, like, 50,000 new followers out of nowhere.” (E! Online)

She also mentioned the amount of backlash shot her way courtesy of Drizzy fans.

However, Dennings soon discovered that her so-called new followers were actually just angry folks who thought she was romancing Drake. “They were like, ‘F–k you, Kat Dennings’ and ‘You can’t take Drake from me. He’s mine.’ And then I realized what had happened, and then we started talking and he’s super, super nice. He’s a lovely person. He’s a nice man.” (E! Online)

Over the past few months, fellow Hollywood actress Amanda Bynes has detailed her love/hate feelings toward the Toronto native.

“Loving far apart eyes @drake,” she wrote, linking to an image of the the 26-year-old rapper. Interestingly enough, she then re-tweeted responses from her followers actually insulting her crush, with one describing Drake as having “hammerhead shark eyes,” and another implying Drake’s mother “drank during her pregnancy.” To top off all the weirdness, Bynes, 27, tweeted another image — a split-screen shot of her What I Like About You co-star Nick Zano (on the left) and Drake — with the caption, “Hot to the left and Ugly @drake to the right.” (RadarOnline)

Recently, Drake talked about dating his music rival Chris Brown‘s ex-girlfriend Rihanna and treating her with respect.

“His insecurities are the reason I make better music than him,” Drake said in an interview with radio host Elliott Wilson, referring to Rihanna. “I’m more popping than him…At one point the woman he loves fell into my lap and I did what a real n*gga would do and treated her with respect.” (East Village Radio)
