During the latest stop on his “Would You Like A Tour?” run, Drizzy gave fans an exclusive first-listen to his “Tropies” record.

The crowd went wild when Harlem’s own A$AP Ferg joined the Canadian rapper to perform “Work.” “I just figured, to bring this shit home, I could bring out my family,” said Drizzy while introducing Ferg. He continued with “Shabba Ranks” as the rest of A$AP Mob swarmed the stage. A$AP Rocky stuck around to perform his hit “F*ckin’ Problems” with some help from October’s Very Own. But that wasn’t all. Busta Rhymes got the crowd hype with an energetic performance of “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.” During Future the Prince‘s set, he previewed a new Drake song called “Trophies,” produced by Hit-Boy. The instrumental can also be heard in the trailer for Nothing Was the Same. (Rap-Up)

Earlier this month, producer Timbaland treated fans to a first listen to a Drake and Jay Z joint record during the Magna Carter world tour.

A few lucky fans in Birmingham, England had the opportunity to hear of preview of yet another new song between Drake and Jay Z. Producer Timbaland, whose currently on tour with the Brooklyn rapper for his Magna Carter World Tour played a clip of the exclusive song for fans at the NIA Arena on Wednesday night. The song is more uptempo than the duo’s latest collaboration, “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2” off Drake’s latest album, “Nothing Was The Same.” Jay and Drake previously worked together on songs like, “Off That” and “Light Up.” (Enstarz)

Recently, Drake revealed he has about five unreleased tracks which could pop up in the near future.

“I’m not a guy that does 40 songs for a project and picks 13 of them. If I’m gonna go as far as to track over a beat, I usually have the utmost faith in it that it’ll end up somewhere,” he explained. “I don’t really dispose of too many songs. I have stuff that didn’t make this album definitely, but I don’t have 20 or 30 of them — I have four or five records that just didn’t make it because I was trying to keep it concise and whatever I end up doing with those, I’ll do with them.” (CBC Radio)

His new solo LP sold just under 660,000 copies in its opening week.

With 658,000 copies of Nothing Was The Same sold, Drake’s latest album easily scores a chart No. 1 (with more than five times as many copies sold at the No. 2 entry, Kings of Leon‘s Mechanical Bull). It will likely go on to sell many more copies as well, especially if songs like bonus track “Come Thru” are released as singles. It’s the second-best opening week of the year, after Justin Timberlake‘s 20/20 Experience sold 968,000. And it easily bests Jay Z‘s opening weeks sales of 527,000. (Complex)
