Young Money’s Drake has publicly sent out his condolences to Soulja Boy Tell Em just days after the rapper lost his brother to a fatal car crash.
While brief with his words, Drizzy sent some prayers Soulja Boy’s way.
“Prayers for my brother Soulja and his family before I lay it down tonight.” (Drake’s Twitter)
In 2009, Drake called Soulja Boy one of the music industry’s most intellectual artists.
“Soulja Boy is the smartest artist of our generation, I think period and I think out of anybody,” he said in an interview earlier this year. “Whoever it is, whether it’s him or his team or the people around him, whoever has the thoughts to do the things he does, is genius and I’m so happy for him.” (YouTube)
Rapper Young Buck also sent out his condolences to Soulja Boy earlier in the week.
“@SouljaBoy Hold ya head homie. God got him now. Stay Strong!!,” he tweeted Monday (March 21). (Young Buck’s Twitter)
Reports claim the crash took place in Mississippi.
Soulja Boy’s half-brother, Deion Jenkins, 14, passed away last night (March 20) after getting involved in a car accident in Charleston, MS. As of press time the details of the crash are unknown. SB expressed his loss on his Twitter account earlier this morning. “[At] home crying my eyes out I can’t believe my lil bro is gone…today is not my day. RIP lil bro love you always :(.” (XXL Mag)
