Based on a few excerpts, Drizzy reveals his intent to rush into a third solo album despite having just released Take Care.

“There are moments I have where I’m by myself, and it’s very reflective,” he says. “I have a desire to come back and do some more aggressive music, because I truly enjoy those anthems and those moments as well. But I think this album is a great balance…I think I’m very hard on myself. I don’t really give myself too much time to be happy or celebrate. Like this album, I’m very proud of it. People are giving me great feedback, but at the same time, I’m sitting on my bus already listening to new beats. I’m trying to figure out what I could do better or what my next move is. I’m obsessed with getting better…I think that it’s evident that I’m myself, and I think people respect me for that across the board, he says. I get respect from the guys who are respected for being real rapper’s rappers. I get respect from women. I get respect from mothers, fathers and kids. It’s very humbling and flattering and incredible, and I’m honored to be in this position because I get to be myself. And I get a lot of love for it.” (Jet)

A few days ago, Drake revealed having already begun putting together his third solo album’s introduction.

“I never save music, that’s one thing I never do — because music, to me, is like a sketch book so I’ll do a drawing like Take Care and the whole album cycle is a drawing. That’s how I felt on that day. November 15th, I just turned the page over so now it’s a new day. I started writing last night. I started writing the intro to my next project last night. I found the sample and I started piecing it together the story, where I’m at in my life. Started piecing the drawing. I started that and flipped the page” (Wild 94.1)

Drake’s Take Care album debuted atop its competition this week.

Young Money star Drake’s Take Care debuted on the chart this week at No. 1, in front of Michael Buble‘s Christmas which sold 165,500 copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Drizzy’s new LP has sold 631,500 records in just a single week. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

Outside of music, Drizzy recently talked about his love for Young Money’s Nicki Minaj.

“If there’s any woman in my life that’s the ideal woman for me, it’s definitely Nicki,” said Drake. “I like the stripped-down Nicki. I like Nicki with no makeup, black hair, some casual clothes in a recording booth rapping an amazing verse. That’s sexy to me.” He added, “I know some great women, but all jokes aside, Nicki is somebody I could spend my life with because I think we understand each other.” (The Daily Beast)

The new Jet magazine reportedly hits newsstands November 28th.
