Southern rapper Rick Ross recently opened up about the forthcoming Maybach Music Group compilation, Self Made, and confirmed a guest spot from Young Money star Drake.

Admitting Drake is fully behind his movement, Ricky Rozay spoke on the platinum seller’s contribution.

“The biggest compilation in recent time, man,” Ross told radio host Bootleg Kev. “We going back to the era of the dope emcees, when Ruff Ryders was doing compilations and you just love the energy the dudes brought to the table…The new album from Maybach Music/Warner. It’s gonna be big…Yeah, yeah, [Drake’ll be on there], most definitely. Drake will be on the compilation and you know that’s the homie so it’s all love. He’s embracing the movement and you know, it just feels good to rock out with your family. Shout-out to YMCMB.” (Bootleg Kev)

A few days ago, Ross publicly revealed the album’s release date.

“New album “SELFMADE” instores & online MAY24 the!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @wale @meekmill @pill4180@maybachmusicgrp,” he tweeted Thursday (March 10).

Newly signed Maybach Music artist Meek Mill also confirmed the release date.

‘#selfmade may24th birthday in may…i have my baby in may… first official album… #taurus,” he tweeted. (Meek Mill’s Twitter)

Details of the compilation album landed online in early March.

Where there’s demand, someone will supply. Hours after YN posted his Rick Ross interview, Rozay had a change of heart and announced that he plans to release Maybach Music Group’s first compilation album, Self Made. No release date as of yet, but it will be distributed through his new deal with Warner Bros. (Rap Radar)

Self Made is slated to drop Tuesday, May 24th.
