Prior to spilling the beans, the Toronto, Canada native credited 2011’s Take Care for helping him discover his inner self.

“I just won a Grammy [for Best Rap Album]. I think music, it’s a process we all go through. It’s an evolution. You’re constantly figuring out what works for you. Should you direct your own videos? Should you be more involved in certain aspects? With Take Care, I really found myself, found my stride. I’m excited to continue on with the new album, the album is titled Nothing Was The Same. I’m just excited about life in general.” (E! Online)

Drizzy also used the Grammy Awards festivities to premiere his new “Started From the Bottom” music video.

Drake dropped his “Started From the Bottom” video on Sunday night, providing the internet with some entertainment as stars lined the red carpet at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The video features an all-white dressed Drizzy standing in the back of a white droptop Bentley, during a blizzard. In other scenes, he works retail in a drugstore, flies a plane into his native Toronto and dances around in a club. In other words, standard Drake video fare. (Huffington Post)

A few days ago, 40 teased fans about the rapper’s third album progress.

“I don’t know, I don’t know. Every day it changes. That’s tough. That’s a hard thing to say. It depends. Because you know we work, and we have ideas and we have songs but as we create more songs, the shape of the album will change and the progression of it will change. As much as we might be sure that we’re on a path and we’re… We’re sort of working sequentially right now. We feel like we have 1, 2, 3, you know we’re going 4, 5, 6. That’s how we’re moving forward, in order of the actual playlist of the album. But as we make more music that fits in other places, it will change and adjust as far as how many songs, or how far we’re going to go so it’s yet to be discovered. We’re still too early to make a call about whether or not we’re half done or a quarter done or 75 percent done. I mean, it could be any of the above.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Last November, the Canadian-bred emcee revealed he had already started working on his third solo effort.

“Its been exactly one year since Take Care dropped. Sitting in our new studio working on the next album. Just want to say thank you.,” Drake tweeted November 15th. (Drake’s Twitter)
