Talking with radio host Tim Westwood, Drake also revealed that he is currently single.

“I’m actually single,” Drake told Tim Westwood in an interview. “I’m single world wide. [laughs] Everywhere, all area codes, everything…I really love women a lot man, even when I’m rapping, I just like women to hear what I’m saying. I’m talking to the world [when I rap], but I like when women come up to me and repeat my lyrics to me, not my hooks. I love when they come up and say, ‘That’s my favorite line,’ or ‘I love when you said this, it made me feel sexy.’ Even if it’s not a straight women’s line, it’s just the fact that they’re listening to what I’m saying. That gets me excited, it turns me on a little bit. Whoa. [laughs] Love, love, love, love London women.” (“Tim Westwood TV”)

Recently, Drake said that he has personal feelings for labelmate Nicki Minaj.

“When I was on tour … I saw Nicki for the first time and, like, literally fell in love,” he said in an interview with DJ Envy. “She had this snap-back hat on that said ‘Minaj.’ She used to wear that every single day. She was like a theater student and she was so cold at rapping…I remember one of the first nights that we were out in Miami and I went to Jerry’s [Famous Deli]. I was like [to Minaj], ‘You want food, you hungry?,’ and she was like, ‘Yeah, I want some food.’ I was like, ‘I’m in, we gon’ eat food together.’ I came to her door and she took the food and shut the door in my face! I was just like, ‘Man, this is gonna be a long road for us.’ … I’ve always really, actually, really had a crush on her, always really loved her, and she’s always just looked at me as, like, her little brother.” (“Sucker Free”)

On Drake’s Thank Me Later, he speaks on his love for Minaj on “Miss Me.”

“I love Nicki Minaj/ I told her I’d admit it/ I hope one day we get married just to say we f*cking did it/ And girl, I’m f*cking serious/ I’m with it if you with it/ ‘Cause your verses turn me on and your pants are mighty fitted…” (“Miss Me”)

In early summer, Drake said he was played during his short-lived relationship with R&B singer Rihanna last summer.

And on “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship. “I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.” (New York Times)

    • Not a fan of both dudes but this oow Wayne would murk this dude is bullshit. Wayne is overrated. He ain’t all that. When did Wayne murk somebody???
He’s diss towards Pusha T was wackk. Yeah he got some mad rhymes but so does everyone else. And lately the nigga lyrics are wack. I mean really if you turn down the instrumentals and listen to his lyrics, the words and all that nigga is trash. He should be signed by Sesame street.

    • tru indeed but wayne would out rap this dude man, as of late he has been puttin out some trash shit but i know he not takeing rap serious anymore because he dont feel like he have to. ill give it to him ive heard him spit some good shit from the squad up days up untill carter 2

  1. “And in case you forgot people, THIS IS HIP HOP!!! Summer Jam 2012
Strike 1, YM dissing Peter Rosenberg Strike 2, That Statement Strike 3.”

REAL TALK. Fuck Lil Wayne. And Busta tho for kissing his ass.

  2. Summer Jam & Rosenburg? Is he an employee of Hot 97 or just Rosenburg’s lover? Because how can those be considered strikes?

    • i mean i understand summer jam cause thats a strike against ny fans that paid for the show expecting them to perform. it kinda fucked up summer jam, but the rosenberg thing is a mystery to me, thats not really a strike i think he just wants rosenberg and hot97 to give him some shine on the radio. and ny has a right to be upset at wayne especially since we went out of our way to make sure dude was safe and respected on rikers. dudes i know are really upset about that chief.

and you gotta blame wayne for opening himself up to that criticism, wayne just makes stupid mistakes. wayne is a worker, not a boss.

    • Rosenberg was a strike. All he did was stating his opinion. They went at him for who he is and not for his opinion and they even threatened to fuck him up.

  3. Millz or Cory could kill him but yncnb does not have an artist small enough for it to be worth dissing him. He lost 5,000 point of respect for his strikes. Rosenberg is a dick and simply wanted respect for Nicki.

  4. Eddie Tha Illest Luzon said it best, you don’t have to be a fan of Wayne to see this shyt is wack!!! This nigga is an example of why he don’t like new york, if you can’t see he don’t like the place cause of that whole gun shyt, you are foolish as fuk

    • EXCATLY HE’S NOT SAYINHE DONT LIKE THE PEOPLE, THE MAN HAD BAD EXPERINCES WHEN GO TO THE NY. THATS LIKE IF YOU EAT BUGRGER KING AND GET FOOD POISON YOU, FROM NOW ON YOU GONNA BE LIKE NAW MAN I DONT FUCK WITH BUGRGER KING LIKE THAT LO. THIS DUDE ON THE TRACK IGNORANT HE THOUGHT HE WOULD BE THE FIRST TO HAD SAID SOMETHING JUST IN CASE SOMEONE ELSE DID JUST TO MAKE A LIL BUZZ FOR HIS SELF IN HIS OWN STATE. GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE THAT SHIT WAS WACK. AND HE SAYS HE GONNA GIVE A REASON FOR THE IDSS AT A LATER DATE P.S.A NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOUR REASON. ok now im startin to sound like a ymcmb fan, lol but this shit was pure garbage. the garbage wayne would put out would be a bigger hit than this

  5. This is why nyc is a joke right here lol! First you had a political figure speak out now this no named clown? lol! Sad so sad…

  6. Out of all the major city’s in america new york is very overrated. I feel what weezy is saying and i think a lot of people outside that city do. And can someone please tell them to get over the whole birthplace of hip hop thing. Everything about new york hip hop just screams the 1990’s to me, sorry. And when ever I think of New York radio I think of non stop hating from there biggest personalities. So you can love it all you want but fact is unless youre into fashion or trying to work on wall street its nothing special.

    • Its always been alot of haters in NY this is true, but you say sounding like the 90’s is bad? Gtfoh plus all these new equals fashion nowadays is from that era! Only thing bad about ny is the muthafuccas sense of entitlement, that will always catch hate and I say fucc em for that to but I can’t front on the classics that has come outta yell™

  7. This clown is trynna get on he will never be anything in the rap game. He shoulda let someone relevant respond.

  8. then he goes to say wayne is just tuna to him naw body in this case you are the small tuna a classic case of big bank takes lil bank. so people should learn to swim b4 they jump in that water. smh…..hate to say but wayne 1 donnie 0
