According to reports, the special collaboration is in light of his upcoming annual OVO Fest concert series.

While we await the arrival of Drake’s new album Nothing Was the Same, which drops on September 17, the rapper has been ramping up hype in myriad ways. Leading up to his OVO Fest and North American tour, he’s teamed up with the Toronto Blue Jays and New Era for a new hat collaboration. The hats, which are pictured above, are part of New Era’s 5950 series and include the Blue Jays logo along with a stitched, commemorative OVO patch on the side. They’ll be available in black or royal blue. (Exclaim)

Diehard fans will have limited opportunities to get their hands on the caps.

Here’s the catch, however: you’ll only be able to pick up the hats if you attend OVO Fest at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre on August 4 and 5. Outside of that, they’ll be available at one Blue Jays game to be announced. If you miss out on those opportunities, you’ll have to snag one on eBay, and we’re pretty sure they won’t stay at the $75 retail price. (Exclaim)

Back in 2010, Roc Nation head Jay-Z teamed with New Era for a special line of hats.

In addition to the 10 known pairs of Air Force 1 (AF1) from Jay-Z and Nike for charity auction during the World Basketball Festival, word has it that the hip-hop mogul also created a few 59FIFTY fitted caps with New Era. Now, images of this exclusive collaboration have surfaced. Feature Jay-Z’s 3 Red Stripes emblem as in his latest album, Blueprint 3, on the side, the cap also include a large ABE, or All Black Everything, insignia on the rear. Of course, a large NY initials (in the form of New York Yankees font) embroidered front and center for Empire State of Mind. Detail information on availability to come soon. (Freshness Mag)

Drizzy recruited a slew of hip-hop heavyweights like Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Meek Mill and more for the OVO Fest.

Drake headlined his third annual OVO Festival in his hometown of Toronto on Sunday night (August 5) with guests like Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Snoop Dogg as his reggae alter-ego Snoop Lion, French Montana, Meek Mill and singer The Weeknd all sharing the stage with him. And as promised, Drake unleashed his featured guest appearance on Aaliyah’s posthumous single, “Enough Said,” debuting it as part of his huge concert last night. It has previously been reported that Drizzy would be executive-producing the late and loved singer’s posthumous album and “Enough Said” seems to be the first listen off the project. (XXL Mag)
