While brief with his words, Drizzy revealed the song’s video would premiere this weekend.

Speculation of a music video began to bubble across the Internet earlier this week.

Footage from the shoot leaked earlier this month. Drizzy was surrounded by members of his OVO crew, all dressed in black, as he filmed scenes at the historic Guild in his hometown of Toronto. “Headlines” is the lead single from Drake’s sophomore album Take Care. (Rap-Up)

The song premiered online a couple months ago.

First thing this morning, on the day of the second annual OVO Festival (July 31), Drake released the first single off “Take Care” (Oct. 24), titled “Headlines.” On the Boi-1da and Noah “40” Shebib-produced track, Drake humbly rhymes about the money he’s stacking and claims “the real is on the rise.” Before releasing “Headlines” through his website, October’s Very Own, Drizzy teased fans with tracks such as “Marvin’s Room” and “Trust Issues.” “Marvin’s Room” jumped twelve slots on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart to No. 23 last week. Last weekend, he revealed the sophomore album’s cover artwork.

“Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” (October’s Very Own)

Take Care is slated to drop Monday, October 24th.
