YG jumped onto his Twitter page Friday (September 19) to break the news and took aim at the Los Angeles Police Department.

A media outlet claimed this is why YG really won’t be able to perform…

Some media outlets have provided a possible explanation for the two-show snub.

A source close to YG’s camp told us that the police department put a call into the tour promoter demanding that they add extra police security to the concert if YG was to perform.
The added muscle could cost the promoter an extra $120,000, thus making YG a real financial liability and making it nearly impossible for him to perform. (MTV)

Weeks after the song’s viral premiere, Drake and Lil Wayne premiered their new “Grindin'” music video heading into the weekend.

In case you haven’t made it down to the U.S. to catch the tag-team trip, you can see some of the tour highlights in a video for their “Grindin’.” The video is pretty much a montage of shots of Drizzy and Weezy bouncing on stage to the delight of fans, mixed in with a few flaming visuals and footage of the duo droppin’ bars in a recording studio, perhaps “tryna get high and do songs every day. (Exclaim!)

Rap star Lil Wayne is reportedly on a “Hip-Hop Police” list amongst other notable music entertainers.

The shadowy specialist unit, known locally as the “Hip-Hop Police,” keeps a list of rappers and hip-hop stars whose shows and night club appearances are closely monitored. It also includes Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne. A source told us: “All New York club owners are required to inform the Hip-Hop Police in advance if anyone on the watch list is coming in. They want to be there to monitor the crowd and in case any trouble starts.” (New York Post)
