Young Money's Drake may want to think twice before giving out prizes and gifts out to fans as one female supporter has reportedly tossed up a pair of his limited edition OVO Air Jordans onto digital bidding site eBay.
According to reports, the starting amount went for $300 and the bidder will continue to accept offers through the weekend.
Over the weekend, we witnessed two lucky fans receiving exclusive unreleased pairs of the Octobers Very Own x Air Jordans during “Drake Night” at the Toronto Raptors-Brooklyn Nets game. Turns out one fan is looking to cash out from the special gift courtesy of the Grammy Award-winning rapper. Spotted on Twitter, the female fan has put the size 11 OVO Air Jordan 10 PEs (Player Exclusives) on eBay. And considering the Raptors beat the surging Brooklyn Nets as well, maybe “Drake Night” needs to be a regular thing that other NBA teams need to consider with their local rappers. The Toronto native broke big news of joining Jordan Brand during a performance near Nike’s Portland headquarters last month.
“Growing up, I’m sure we idolized this guy. He goes by the name of Michael Jordan, you understand what I’m saying?” Drake said to the crowd at the Rose Garden Arena during his tour stop in Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday night. Known for its microbreweries, chainsaw wielding and local hero Timber Joey, Portland is also home to Nike and Jordan Brand’s corporate offices. “So today, I came to Portland and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family so I feel like I’m at home right now, if you understand what I’m talking about,” Drake said without getting into specifics. “And it is a family and I don’t take that word lightly.” (MTV)
