Young Money's Drake really started from the bottom as vintage footage of him showing his humble beginnings before linking up with rap star Lil Wayne has surfaced online.
In the footage, fans see a teenage Drake giving a full tour of his mother’s home and sneaks in a cameo from his late grandmother.
“Me and my grandma have a little thing, my mom doesn’t let her eat chocolate. But my grandma slides me a little extra cheddar on the side and I make sure she gets her daily chocolate dosage,” Drake said in the video. “Now we’re going to check out my space. This is my space, this is where I live. This is my living room. I like a chilling vibe, that’s my favorite thing about this basement. I made this table. It’s got Barry White, Frank Sinatra, Notorious B.I.G., everybody around this table has basically inspired me to get into music, particularly Pharrell, he’s one of my idols.” (“Degrassi: Unscripted”)
Drizzy also gives his father a shout-out in the clip and shows off his personal music stash.
“This is my dad, him and my uncle worked with Al Green. That’s basically why I do it. He taught me everything. The rap star lost his grandmother due to medical complications last November.

The next stops on Drake’s Club Paradise tour are suppose to be the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Walnut Creek Raleigh, NC & the Farm Bureau Live in Virginia Beach, VA, but unfortunately, Drake has had to cancel both shows to attend to some family issues. The rumor mill is reporting Drake’s grandmother to have passed away while some are just saying she is ill. Whatever the case may be, fans need to understand that Drake is a regular human being like us, who would take some time off from work to attend to family business. The Ticketmaster site shows as the new dates now being June 19th for Raleigh, NC & June 20th for Virgina Beach, VA. (57th Ave)
