On the record, which features Lil Wayne, Drizzy sounds off on Luke letting him know he embraces the Miami culture despite the rap veteran’s recent criticisms.

Its not much of a diss, but Drake basically tells Luke to come at him too, all in while confirming that he in fact does come to Miami occasionally to club hard and “fuck women” as he put it. Oh boy, best believe Luke is gonna respond. Here’s what Drake says in song-form in the first seconds of “The Motto”, which leaked a couple days ago. A song that may not make the final cut of Drake’s album Take Care. This is what he said below… “Tell Uncle Luke I’m out in Miami too/Clubbin’ hard, f*ckin’ women, there ain’t too much to do…Wrist bling, got a condo up on Biscayne/Still gettin’ brain from a thang, ain’t sh*t change.” (The 305)

Last month, Luke addressed his issue with rappers not showing proper respect for the Miami area.

“I look at you and I look at myself, just like I look at [Pitbull], Trick [Daddy] and all those guys, I’ve been a part of their lives,” Luke told DJ Khaled. “You, unfortunately, you have a special thing. You’re bringing a lot of guys down here. A lot of guys are coming here, moving here because you showing love — but when you come down here to live and don’t do anything for the community, that becomes a problem…Anybody that’s coming here, plan on moving here, whether its Puff Daddy, Lil Wayne, or whoever it may be, they need to understand that. They need to understand if you gonna be part of this community you got to be fully part of the community. You can’t just come here. You don’t need to be here just sitting here squatting, eating our food and partying. Do something in the community.” (99 Jamz)

Following his interview, Lil Wayne hopped on Twitter to answer Luke’s verbal lashing.

“This N*gga Luke trippin!!! I ain’t feelin khaled rite now neither,” Wayne tweeted October 11th. (Lil Wayne’s Twitter)

A week prior, Luke released a public blog posting speaking out against Weezy and Diddy.

“I’ve got a message for Lil Wayne, his Cash Money Brothers, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all the rappers from other parts of the country who now live in Miami,” he wrote October 4th. “I’m tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community. I want to know when Lil Wayne is going to do more than show up courtside at the American Airlines Arena. H*ll, it’s not like he paid for them anyway. You know he got comped. This free loading and mooching of my city has got to stop. There used to be a day when out of town rappers were scared to throw their weight around Miami. It didn’t matter if they were coming from New York or Los Angeles, they knew better than to act like they owned this mother f*cker.” (Miami New Times)
