Despite the anticipation and speculated emphasis on pushing out big sales, Drizzy said he is not losing sleep over the numbers game.

This time out, Drizzy says he’s going into the release date for his upcoming Nothing Was the Same with a clear mind. “Best advice I ever got is: No expectations lead to no disappointments. So I have no expectations,” the rapper told MTV News back in August as he was preparing for his big 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance. NWTS doesn’t officially release until September 24, but the LP leaked onto the Internet very late on Sunday night. It was an issue that Drake has been anticipating. “Really, just more than September 24, I’m just excited whenever people get the music,” he told us. “The numbers, the sales, all that stuff it’s cool. I’m sure I’ll get into it on the day like, ‘How much did we sell,’ trying to figure it out, but aside from that, I’m just excited for people to hear the full body of work.” (MTV)

A week away from release, Drizzy’s newest solo effort leaked onto the Internet Monday (September 16).

Just days before the official release of Drake’s new album, Nothing Was The Same has hit the internet. The Canadian rapper’s album is scheduled to hit stores Tuesday, September 24, but the entire LP surfaced online Sunday, just nine days before its release. The album features the highly anticipated collaboration between with Jay Z, entitled Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2. In the song, Drake complains about how his classmates treated him in high school. According to reports, Drizzy and his October’s Very Own team are opening pop-up shops Thursday.

Recently, Drake and his OVO squad have been wearing nothing but dope Nothing Was the Same gear, and with the exception of the A$AP Mob collection, it’s probably the only hip-hop merch that we’d rock regularly. Now you have the chance to join Drizzy and his team in being laced properly while blasting NWTS. This Thursday, September 19, for one day only, October’s Very Own is holding a pop-up shop in New York, L.A., and Drake’s hometown Toronto. Details are scant, but we assume “Compliments of the Company” means you won’t need to dig deep into your pockets for NWTS gear… (Complex)

To add to his promotion, the mega rap star is slated to appear on talk show host Ellen DeGeneres‘ Friday broadcast.

DRAKE is here! The Canadian rapper, songwriter and actor is already tearing up the charts with his upcoming CD, “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” His hits have been heard around the world, from “Started from the Bottom” to “Take Care,” his duet with Rihanna! He’s here to tell Ellen all about his career, his music and his life. Plus, he’s going to perform the title track from his new CD! (Ellen TV)
