Although he has penned “Find Your Love” and “Would U Love Me,” Drizzy feels he does not fully have a grasp on the expression of love.

“I feel like I’ve said ‘I love you’ … but I don’t know if I understand it yet,” Drake says. “I write about it and I try and make sense of it, but I’m not really sure … I thought I would by now, but maybe it’s not meant for me to understand yet.” (PEOPLE)

Earlier this year, Drake admitted to focusing his “Un-Thinkable” Alicia Keys feature verse on Young Money labelmate Nicki Minaj.

“It is [about Minaj], I’m not gonna lie,” Drake told BET.com. “The concept came from a conversation that we had, or conversations we have. I wrote it based off two things: number one, based off that, and then two, based off Alicia [Keys] and Swizz and their situation and it just seemed fitting. It was like the perfect concept.” (BET)

In October, Drizzy admitted to being attracted toward mature women.

“I do like older women, can I tell you who I met the other day and she was so beautiful, Sade,” Drake told radio host Angie Martinez. “I had lunch with Sade the other day. There were other people around. [I didn’t hit on her,] that would be disrespectful. Just seeing her, she does it for me. I like maturity…Really, I really do love to converse. I love that connection. I do love conversation. I truly do, I love those moments…Once you like, get it off, there’s like, sorry, there’s that 20 seconds after that’s probably the realest 20 seconds of your life. Things like conversation and personality matter in those 20 seconds. And those 20 seconds being the realest moments of a man’s life…” (Hot 97)

Last June, Drake explained referencing a past romantic relationship with Rihanna on his Thank Me Later debut.

And on “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship. “I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.” (New York Times)
