Young Money rapper Drake has addressed rumors claiming his boss, Lil Wayne, physically attacked him this week.
Drizzy hit up Twitter to clear the air on his relationship with Weezy.
“You got the story wrong…Lil Wayne punched me in my arm cause he saw a VW beetle pass by…haaa…YM Forever,” Drake tweeted Saturday (November 13). (Drake’s Twitter)
A representative for Drizzy also addressed the rumor.
Drake’s rep denied that any punches were thrown, onstage or off. “There were no disruptions,” his rep said in a statement to MTV News. “The concert and afterparty went off without a hitch.” (MTV)
Rumors of an altercation circulated across the Internet earlier this week.
The entire incident reportedly happened following a weekend concert in Las Vegas that marked the finale of Drake’s tour. Rumors started swirling earlier today that Lil Wayne punched the star to discipline Drake for not giving him the proper attention while he was in jail. Drake has a history of stirring up trouble and laying it to rest via his Twitter page. In September, Drake posted a joke that he had married Nicki Minaj that set off an Internet firestorm of rumors. Following Wayne’s release from jail last week, Drizzy and Weezy appeared together in Las Vegas for a surprise performance.
Last night, Drake performed the last show of his Light Dreams and Nightmares tour in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel. Tyga, Lloyd and Birdman were a few of the guests in attendance. With Lil Wayne fresh out of jail, there were rumors and speculation that he would be performing at this show. No one had an answer until Drake performed “Miss Me” and Lil Wayne ran out to join him on stage. (Karen Civil)
