Mega producer Dr. Dre reportedly has his eyes set on a mansion that belongs to NFL superstar Tom Brady and has placed a big bid to own it.
Details of the Doc’s interest and potential purchase of the home have surfaced online this week.
Dr. Dre FELL IN LOVE with Tom Brady’s mega-mansion in L.A. — and put an offer to buy the house almost immediately after it hit the market back in March … TMZ Sports has learned. We broke the story … Tom and Gisele listed the 18,700 sq. ft. Brentwood estate they custom built from the ground up for $50 MILLION after barely spending any time living in the place. We’re told there were “multiple interested parties ready to put offers on the house” … but Dre swooped in with a solid offer first … and T&G decided to sell to the Doc. (TMZ)
Although the ink has not yet dried, reports claim the home is pratically Dre’s.
Sources tell us the deal has not yet closed — but it’s close. Tom and Gisele were offering the house fully furnished … but sources tell us Dre has his own stuff he wants to put in the house — and has chosen to pass on all of the stuff the Bradys spent years collecting from various trips around the world. Aside from the mansion news, the music icon revealed an interest in possibly wanting to own the Los Angeles Clippers.
Dr. Dre tells TMZ Sports … he’s “absolutely” interested in buying the L.A. Clippers when the NBA forces Donald Sterling to sell the team … and he seems very serious about it. “I’m thinking about it … yes,” Dre told us on his way in to Boa Steakhouse in L.A. last night. It’s not like he couldn’t afford it … Forbes just released its list of wealthiest hip hop moguls and Dre clocked in at #2, with a reported net worth of $550 million. (TMZ)
