With the Internet still going nuts over rap star DMX turning into a viral hit courtesy of some unexpected wedding footage, SOHH reached out to his camp to receive some clarity on the situation.

According to X’s representative Domenick Nati, Dark Man X clearly showed off his more playful side in the must-see clip.,/p>

“I’m happy that this video is circulating so well,” Domenick told SOHH via a statement. “This is the type of stuff X does all the time for his fans. This video is a great example of DMX being DMX.” (SOHH)

The wild footage started to make its rounds online over the weekend.

After stepping back from the spotlight to focus on being a preacher and deal with his legal troubles, sometime rapper and full-time cyberphobe DMX is already having an exciting 2014. He’s going on an international tour, he’s ranting about cops, and it seems he’s also crashing the occasional wedding party. (Gothamist)

The incident reportedly went down sometime on Saturday (January 25).

The uploader writes that DMX came on their bus on Saturday, and decided to serenade them by singing along to his 2003 classic “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” to the utter delight of the wedding party. But as delighted as they were, it’s a bit unbelievable that nobody on the bus could match DMX’s energy and stand up for the performance. Maybe this crowd leans more toward Morris Day-MC’d wedding jams. (Gothamist)

Earlier this month, footage of X in a pre-show prayer asking for no form of violence or recklessness surrounding a Detroit show surfaced.

DMX asked Jesus for a huge favor right before a recent concert in Detroit … PLEASE DON’T LET ANYONE GET STABBED OR SHOT!!!! X was doing his customary pre-show prayer with members of his team when he got “real” with his Lord and Savior about their safety in what Forbes calls, “The Most Dangerous City in America.” “We pray that there are no fightings, no stabbings, no shootings, no arrests, no drunk drivings, no altercations or incidents whatsoever,” X said. Hey, doesn’t hurt to ask. For the record, X’s prayers were answered that night … no violent incidents were reported at the show. (TMZ)
