Additional celebrities are rumored to be headed to the show, including pop singer Aaron Carter.

Carter is allegedly the latest star planning to check into the next edition of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab.” He is said to be joining former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss and rocker Sebastian Bach, the former front-man for the ’80s heavy metal band, Skid Row. Carter was busted last February during a traffic stop in Texas when cops found two ounces of pot in the car he was driving. (New York Post)

The popular show was greenlighted for a third season earlier this week.

Dr. Drew and VH1 are also bringing back the award-winning reality series “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” for a third installment. The series will follow a new group of celebrity patients who have volunteered to undergo a 21-day detoxification and treatment at a rehabilitation center in the Los Angeles area. The series has not yet been cast but aims to start filming sometime in late spring for a fall 2009 premiere. Returning to the show to help Dr. Drew are drug addiction counselor Bob Forrest and resident technician Shelly Sprague who have each spent years on both sides of the rehab fence. (PR Newswire)

X is currently serving a 90-day sentence in Arizona on drug charges.

Commissioner Phemonia Miller sentenced the rapper last January, whose name is Earl Simmons to 90 days in jail with no credit for time he has already served. Miller said, “I’m not sentencing DMX today, I’m sentencing Earl Simmons. I don’t know DMX. Mr. Simmons, it’s time to do something different. What you have been doing is not working.” (AZCentral)

The rapper is reportedly scheduled to leave jail next month.
