According to a statement from his representative, media pressure ultimately forced X to not follow through.

“Due to recent media scrutiny, DMX will not be appearing on The Wendy Williams Show this week. The team apologizes to his fans who were anticipating his performance but we are holding off on interviews and focusing on making music and organizing a world tour.” ~Domenick Nati (Nati Celebrity Services) (Press Release)

The statement comes a day after X’s rep addressed his publicized South Carolina arrest.

“DMX was released at 9:46pm Eastern Monday night. He was arrested on minor traffic charges and spent only three hours in jail,” Nati told SOHH via statement. “This short arrest will not affect any of his upcoming concerts and he is planning on performing with Swizz Beatz on Wednesday’s Wendy Williams Show.” ~Domenick Nati (Nati Celebrity Services) (SOHH)

Details of X’s most recent legal woe bubbled across the Internet Monday (November 4) evening.

Rapper DMX needs a professional driver to keep him out of jail — he just got arrested … again … for three offenses while driving at the airport in South Carolina. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … DMX — aka Earl Simmons — was pulled over by cops at the airport in Spartanburg, SC and nailed for driving on a suspended license, driving while uninsured, and driving an unlicensed vehicle. A rep for the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport says officers noticed DMX as soon as he pulled up to the terminal — and were apparently well versed on his track record. X is familiar with the suspended license charge — he’s been slapped with that one multiple times. His most recent busts were for allegedly possessing weed (in Aug.) … and an alleged DUI (in July). DMX is still in custody, and will have to see a judge — with whom he’s probably on a first name basis — before he can get out. (TMZ)

Back in August, Nati spoke to SOHH about his client being accompanied by two assistants, Shawn Durham and Shawn Rhodes, when police arrested him in South Carolina.

“DMX was driving in the passenger seat when the vehicle he was in was pulled over last night. Although officers pulled them over for a minor traffic violation, DMX was asked to step outside so they can search the vehicle,” Nati told SOHH via statement. “Officers then claimed that they found bags of marijuana in the floorboard and arrested X. No drugs were found on DMX or the other passengers and the alleged bags of marijuana were never shown to DMX or the other passengers. DMX was released this morning at approximately 11am EST and is back at his home in South Carolina.” ~ Domenick Nati (Nati Celebrity Services) (SOHH)
