Newly signed Maybach Music Group artist DJ Scream has opened up about signing on the dotted line for rap star Rick Ross‘ growing empire and what their partnership ultimately means for the future.
According to Scream, fans can anticipate bigger outcomes from his daily grind.
“It’s a great feeling; I fit right in with the team and we all share a similar vision when it comes to our goals,” DJ Scream tells XXL about the signing, adding that he looks “forward to big records, big mixtapes, big shows, a DJ Scream album, and a lot more power moves from the MMG Empire.” “Everything is in the works but nothing is confirmed yet as far as dates,” Scream adds. “Just stay tuned. We gonna make history. DJ Scream. Hoodrich! MMG!” (XXL Mag)
A few days prior, Ricky Rozay made the formal announcement welcoming Scream to MMG.
“This is one of the moves I’m most proud of,” Ross said in an interview. “This is something I’ve never done, but something I’m excited about. Me watching Scream build his brand for the last few years, be a part of some of the dopest projects to come out of the South — I wanted to see the homie make a major debut. Put out an album on a worldwide scale and that’s something we [gonna] do. I’ma support the homie on all of his endeavors.” (Hot 107.9)
Scream also took to his Twitter page to break the news.
“Its time…,” he tweeted August 1st.
“DJ Scream is Maybach Music Now! … Its Offcial. Now time to get RICHer… #Hoodrich Thnk u @rickyrozay” (DJ Scream’s Twitter)
Scream is most known for working with artists from the Atlanta area.
“I’m a native of the A-Town and have been creating mixtapes for close to a decade now. Some of the names that I have put on in the area include Shawty Lo, Rocko, Crime Mob, Yung Ralph, J Money, Soulja Boy and some others. Working with these artists has been a pleasure, and the fact that we have dropped street classics that people still bump is even more of a thrill.” (MTV Newsroom)
