Chicago's DJ Rashad has reportedly passed away this weekend at the age of 35 leaving a flurry of hip-hop artists speechless and shocked over his death.
Details of the music icon’s passing have surfaced across the Internet.
DJ Rashad was pronounced dead at the scene by Chicago police who arrived just moments after Rashad’s body was discovered by a friend in his home. DJ Godfather was the first to announce Rashad’s death on Twitter. Godfather was scheduled to perform in Detroit later on that night along with Rashad and DJ Spinn. Police have not released an official cause of death yet but preliminary reports suggest that Rashad died from a drug overdose, reports the BBC. (Hollywood Life)
Elusive Roc Nation artist Jay Electronica has come forward with a reaction to the news.

Chicago’s Chance The Rapper also reacted to hip-hop’s loss.
