According to Khaled, he is unable to get contact Slim Shady for a face-to-face sit down.

“The collaboration I want to make happen and the people want to make happen is a DJ Khaled/Eminem collaboration,” Khaled said in an interview. “I know if I get with Eminem and put him on one of my anthems … ’cause I make these anthems. I got something so special in my drive that for Eminem on there…We’re doing it for hip-hop. We doing this for hip-hop. I’m a big fan of his. I don’t have a way to contact him. I don’t know how I can sit down and play him some music; whatever I gotta do. Eminem, I got love. I wanna make this crazy record with you. Let’s make history. Let’s rip the streets apart. I got the idea already [that] I wanna do with Slim Shady. I got the beat right now, so crazy, the concept. It’s something the people are gonna love too. If I get Slim Shady on this joint, I’mma tear up the streets.” (MTV)

Last July, Khaled expressed his interest to link with Em.

“When I do get in the studio with him, I promise you, we gon’ make something so f*cking crazy. I’m telling Eminem right now, if we get in the studio I know that I’m going to get the best out of Eminem, and he’s going to write the most incredible verse that he’s ever written in his life, and it’s going to be the biggest f*cking anthem in the streets and it’s going to be the biggest anthem when we get together, and I know this for a fact, and God willing, it’s going to happen. I already have some people in mind, that’s something I want to discuss with him first. It’s definitely going to be a collabo track, but it’s going to be the great ones. But the thing is, I just gotta get with Em. I just gotta get with Em in the studio to present the concept and then from there, he’s going to say Khaled, turn the mic on. And I’m going to say, of course I am. It’s going to be anthematic. It’s going to be the biggest anthem in the world. I’ma find a way, don’t worry.” (VIBE)

Earlier this year, Ludacris said he, too, wanted to link with Em.

“I always wanted to work with Dr. Dre and I got a chance to work with him and then Eminem, I’ve talked to Eminem so hopefully we can make that happen,” Luda said about collaborating with both artists. “I was definitely doing a little ghostwriting but you know, we’ll see what happens. He has a lot of different tracks that he has to choose from for the Detox album so it is what it is. I think he has the chemistry and exactly what everyone wants, it’s about staying innovative, being yourself and always have the good music. Good music will last throughout the ages no matter how things change and he always produces some good music.” (Young Hollywood)

Dipset‘s Juelz Santana recently discussed wanting an opportunity to share a collaboration with Slim Shady.

“Eminem is my n*gga, seriously, that’s what I been trying to get on the ‘Rap Cemetery’ with me and [Lil Wayne], Eminem,” Santana said in a Ustream broadcast. “Because he puts n*ggas in the rap cemetery for real. Em, holla at me, get at me, what’s up? I’m here. That’s the only n*gga I really, you know, that I’ll get on aUStream or anywhere like, ‘Yo, I need to holler at Em.’ I f*cks with Em hardbody, matter of fact, I might have to call Weezy up and have him connect the dots for me. They just put that little nice f*cking ‘Drop The World’ on you…” (Ustream TV)

  1. I agree witcha Bro… please let us know how we can get more intune with this and to stop this BULLSHIT…BY THE WAY I’M FROM THE CHI…

  2. Well I haven’t heard Chief Keef’s music at this point. I have been listening to rap for 25 plus years and I will say this after the west coast blew up it seems rap that was very negative gangster music infiltrated the culture more so than the other styles and was promoted more to the detriment of black males. Although I have never committed violence against another black male because of music I do realize that music does have some control over African because of our reality which is different than a lot of other races who merely just listen but that is not there reality. Music for African american males can be a destructive force if that person is not constantly being watched and taught by family members what he must to to survive in america. Peace

  3. The truth shines thru!! First Lupe Bitch Bad then Rhymefest with this fireburning statement. A change Is coming

  4. This is a tired argument… People can listen to whatever the hell they want to. Every rapper shouldn’t feel obligated to be a school teacher or a college professor if they don’t want to. Its about time we push our children to become more LITERATE than listen to rap artists for intellectual inspiration. There’s a point in a human being’s like when they should have the common sense to ABSORB what’s positive. The music that Chief Keef makes should only be taken for the face value of entertainment (if people are entertained by his music). As for the kids… PARENTS… PLACE A CHIEF KEEF MIXTAPE INSIDE THE PAGES OF A RALPH ELLISON BOOK. MAYBE THEN, YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN SOMETHING.

  5. rhymefest is wack talking bout white people seeing criminal everytime they see a black man

    • …Check it out!!…Rhymefest is A FUCKING JEALOUS BITCH!!!…I trip on
how these individuals always have something negative to say about other
Artist!!!…If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it!!!…. He came up
with Kanye West and Kanye promotes
materialism, The Good Life, Promiscuity, and K.West connects with ALL
these rappers that are suppose to be NEGATIVE (Soldier Boy, Rick Ross,
Two Chains, Chief Keef, etc.) and K. West cuts him checks!!!…THESE
      NIGGAZ LAME…. I DON’T RESPECT HIM NO MORE!!!….

  6. I respect him for lettin his ballz hang and saying what he really felt. And i think he’s gotta point too.

  7. It sounded more to me like he said that Keef represents the senseless savagery that the news portrays to white people. I’m from Detroit so I know exactly what he mean and its true, all the news coverage is negative so all the white people are scared to step foot in the city cuz they think they will get shot by some random young black male.

  8. Negroe please didnt u beat yo wife. stay in the shadows. instead of bashing a young “mislead” blackman why dont you reach out to the kid and see what hes about. each one teach one. shame on a nigga that recently wanted to b a politician.?

  9. I can’t stand Chief Keef but Rhymefest just sounds like he wants attention, the highlight of this dudes life was when he beat Eminem in a battle back in the day, don’t know ow he pulled that shit off but look it up it did happen. He really is talented lyrically but not my style and this just makes him look like he’s bitter because yet another person from Chi city is getting the spotlight and his old ass is just aging.

  10. You guys Cant miss the point in this. Mexicans & Blacks Think going to prison is a rights of passage, it certifies the tuff guy inside you. Now the people that make money off us going to jail can’t promote it like you would a club or grocery store. So they do use rappers or other respected tuff guy figures. Um have you ever heard that the game is rigged?

  11. This nigga just mad cuz A 16 year old got put on before his washed up ass.. Next!

  12. Can anyone for ‘once’ express themselves without having a committee of us saying they only wan’t attention. I doubt Rhymefest wrote a letter to SOHH or any other media outlet begging them to post his opinion on a rapper. Rap aside .. He did say some valid things. I as a black man think that mainstream white America does see someone like Cheif Keef dreads and all as the face of ‘all’ black youth.. Valid point. We have to let go of this notion just because an older rapper shares an opinion about another rapper that their embittered or jealous or whatever. Free Speech. just sayin

  13. @997aca6b0f4378af352d8fd7b467e9dc:disqus come on fam, you’re missing the ENTIRE point of his statement; he’s not blaming Keef, instead he’s saying he’s a tool in a system that’s bigger than Chief Keef & if we don’t see it, we’re all blind. Look past your blurred vision and focus on the truth that he’s speaking.
