In the clip, Young Money rapper Drake’s “No New Friends” single plays in the background as flashes of the Heat and Khaled celebrating last for nearly two minutes.

Miami’s own, DJ Khaled, may not have been in attendance at the big game in Miami the other night, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love the hometown squad. Khaled returns to the scene today with a video tribute to the greatest team in the world by dropping a dope, ‘No New Friends’ included, clip that pays homage. The clip finds the Heat celebrating their latest accomplishment before we then see Khaled in the studio, plugging his upcoming album. (Stupid Dope)

Last year, the animated deejay pulled a similar stunt with a Miami tribute clip.

“I want to thank everybody for making ‘Take It To The Head’ a Top 5 record in the country right now,” exclaimed Khaled as part of his Heat tribute video. “You see what I’m doing, right? Last year, we were talking about ‘I’m On One’ the year before we were talking about ‘All I Do Is Win.’ “Should I keep going? ‘I’m So Hood,’ ‘We Taking Over,’ ‘Go Hard,’ ‘Holla At Me, Baby,’ ‘Out Here Grindin.’ I keep going,” he added. “I got catalog. Miami Heat got the ring, so I’m super inspired to drop a record off my Kiss The Ring album, dropping August 21st. Safe to say, stay tuned to who’s on the record, when I’m gonna drop the record, another hit, another smash, I don’t play no games, I got catalog!” (XXL Mag)

Drake made sure to kick it with the Miami Heat players following Thursday night’s Game 7 victory.

After the Miami Heat won their second-straight NBA title last night, they retreated to Club Story for the traditional celebration party. At last year’s party, LeBron James wore a shirt with a picture of himself as a vampire on it, and sang on stage alongside Redfoo from LMFAO. This year, perhaps because he was so spent from a grueling seven-game NBA Finals series, he was a bit more passive. He appeared on stage at Story with Dwyane Wade and R&B artist Drake. At one point, they ordered pizza to the stage, and LeBron ate pizza and danced a little bit while Drake took the mic next to him. (Business Insider)

Video game franchise 2K Sports issued a press release to media outlets to help visually celebrate Miami Heat’s LeBron James’ latest NBA championship heading into the weekend.

2K Sports is proud to congratulate NBA 2K14 cover athlete LeBron James for winning a second straight NBA Championship and NBA Finals MVP Award with the Miami Heat. The victory caps a season in which he was named NBA Most Valuable Player, while leading the Miami Heat to the second-longest winning streak in NBA history (27). James is now a four-time NBA MVP, two-time Finals MVP, an NBA scoring champion, and has won two-gold medals for the USA basketball team. James joins past NBA 2K cover athletes and fellow basketball legends Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal as multiple Finals champions. (2K Sports)
