Houston rap legend Scarface recently bigged up the talent that makes up DJ Khaled and why the Miami radio deejay is much more than just an occasional producer.

In Face Mob’s opinion, Khaled goes harder with the production craft than other beatmakers.

In a Making-Of-Video that premiered on WorldStarHipHop, legendary rapper Scarface offered insight into the nature of Khaled’s role in making his music. “A lot of people get that fucked up.” Scarface explained about Khaled “They think that a producer makes beats and sh*t. Nah. A producer gets the job done. And Khaled is more of a producer than a lot of motherf*ckers that make beats, in my opinion. Khaled sees that motherf*cker from beginning to end. He produces his own sh*t.” (XXL Mag)

Scarface’s comments come on the heels of Khaled’s new “Hell’s Kitchen” anthem and release of his upcoming Suffering From Success LP.

After appearing on DJ Khaled’s album from last year, Kiss the Ring, J. Cole is back for another round on Suffering From Success and he has a new running partner with him. That would be Bas, an emerging talent that’s aligned with Cole’s Dreamville imprint. The two rappers vibe off the hollowing backdrop, putting their monetary success into context. “Cried myself to sleep on thousand dollar sheets/I reek up a scent of a vendetta that’s deep/I’m playing for keeps/What you ain’t think I’d bounce back?/They love to hear a black nigga count stacks,” Cole raps with poise. DJ Khaled’s Suffering From Success will be released October 22. (Complex)

The Miami deejay recently revealed fellow producer Swizz Beatz was largely responsible for helping piece together their hard-hitting “”Feel Like Pac/Feel Like Biggie” anthem.

“When I made ‘I Feel Like Pac/ I Feel Like Biggie’ me and Swizz was in the studio and I played Swizz the beat and I gave him a vision of who I wanted to be on the record. Swizz came up with this hook: ‘I feel like ‘Pac,’ ” Khaled told MTV News when we took a trip to his North Miami recording studio. “That chemistry with me and Swizz was amazing when we were cooking that, but at the same time I couldn’t have put just any rapper on that record so I put Ross, I put Meek and I put T.I.,” he said of how he decided to put on the verses. Khaled’s star-studded song premiered online earlier this month.

DJ Khaled celebrates greatness on his star-studded anthem “I Feel Like Pac/I Feel Like Biggie.” The Miami DJ enlists Rick Ross, T.I., Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz, and Puff Daddy for the Beat Bully-produced cut off his upcoming album Suffering From Success. “How you gonna compare yourself to greatness if you ain’t ready to be great, man?” asks Diddy on the motivational record. Due Oct. 22, Khaled’s album also features collaborations with J. Cole, Wale, Future, 2 Chainz, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and more. (Rap-Up)
