DJ Khaled Breaks Silence On French Montana/50 Cent Conspiracy [Video]

Miami's DJ Khaled has finally addressed recent rumors and claims of French Montana allegedly being the person responsible for providing footage of his mother to music rival 50 Cent four years ago.

Although aware of the accusation, Khaled said his close-knit relationship with Montana would never allow him to invest time into finding out the truth.

“Well, I’ve known French for a long time,” Khaled said when asked if he ever asked French about allegedly giving 50 Cent footage of his mother back in 2009. “I’ve never asked him and I’m not going to ask him — that’s my brother, French Montana’s my brother. He’s family and I don’t know nothing about that. I don’t think French would be around me [and not address it] because he keeps it 100 and he is family, he is my friend and he is part of the team. So, like, it goes back to the earlier conversations. All I know is positive and love. I’m not going to distort it and put that negative energy around me ’cause that’s not going to happen.” (RapFix)

Back in November, 50 put French in the hot seat by name-dropping him as the culprit who backstabbed Khaled.

“Frenchie, they got me the tape,” Fif said in an interview “They got me the tape of his mother’s house, where his moms work at, the other cribs, the studios, stuff like that.” (“Big Boy’s Neighborhood”)

In winter 2009, Khaled refused to address Fif taking personal aim at his family.

“I don’t deal with negative energy, it’s a waste of my time and my time is valuable,” he said in an interview. “I keep negative away and stay positive…At Def Jam, we promote music…We promote hit records. That’s what I respect. I’m always going to represent the music; Rick Ross is gonna represent the music. If controversy comes with it, it comes with it.” (MTV)

In the ’09 footage, Fif is heard narrating footage which showed Khaled’s mother asleep at work.

“Yo, I got this lil’ poem I wrote for DJ Khaled,” 50 narrates. “Your car tires got stabbed out, now you know, I know where you be. I just wanna tell you what a psychic told me. I know where your mama house at. Now look, you can see. But I just wanna tell you what a psychic told me. I know where your mama work at, now look at her, asleep. I just wanna tell you what a pyschic told me. I’m not the kinda n*gga you should f*ck with, B. I’m special. I have less compassion than the average human.” (This Is 50)
