Quick and to the point, Puff Daddy boasted about Ye’s return to dominating music.

“Attn. all MCs, RnB cats! If your about to put out a album anytime soon! Make sure your ready cause Yezzy murdered the Game! Thank God! True Artistry! Take Notes! @RevoltTV,” Diddy tweeted June 16th. (Diddy’s Twitter)

Recently, New York rap veteran Talib Kweli showered Ye with accolades.

“When he talks about being able to write a song like ‘All Falls Down’ in 15 minutes [because of] hanging out with people like myself and Dead Prez, he’s telling you more about himself than about us,” Talib said. “He’s telling you about his technique.” Kweli said there wasn’t a specific moment or instance where Kanye tapped into his writing power; it was more that young Yeezy absorbed what was around, and at the time he happened to be around some of rap’s most progressive and well-skilled MCs. “He wakes up, he writes rhymes, he says the rhyme to whoever wants to listen and he keeps improving on it. He asks for advice, that’s what he does,” Kwe continued. “He always strives to be the best and to him it is about technique.” (MTV)

Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin discussed Ye’s dedicated attention to detail when brought onboard to finish up Yeezus.

“Kanye came over to play me what I assumed was going to be the finished album at three weeks before the last possible delivery date. We ended up listening to three hours of partially finished pieces. The raw material was very strong but hadn’t yet come into focus. Many of the vocals hadn’t been recorded yet, and many of those still didn’t have lyrics. From what he played me, it sounded like several months more work had to be done. I joined the project because after discussing what he had played for me, he asked if I would be open to taking all of the raw material on and help him finish it.” (Wall Street Journal)

In a recent interview, Ye talked about his contributions to society.

“I’ve been connected to the most culturally important albums of the past four years, the most influential artists of the past ten years. You have like, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern. I think that’s a responsibility that I have, to push possibilities, to show people: “This is the level that things could be at.” So when you get something that has the name Kanye West on it, it’s supposed to be pushing the furthest possibilities. I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus.” (New York Times)
