Although details are still scarce, Puff Daddy will grace television screens nationwide for at least one episode.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is getting one of the last guest stars you would expect. Hip-hop mogul Sean Combs has signed on to appear on the FX comedy’s upcoming eighth season, the network told TheWrap. Details on Combs’ appearance are scarce; it is not yet known how many episodes he will appear in, or when he will appear on the show. (Chicago Tribune)

Puff will have big expectations from fans as “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” enters its eighth season.

No details have been revealed about who he will play or how his role will figure into the show’s storyline, which sees Charlie Day’s character coming face to face with his biological father. The series – which enters its eighth season this fall – has thus far been renewed for a ninth season. Combs has already demonstrated that he can bring the funny on the big screen, and given the success he’s already achieved in the worlds of theater, music, film and business in general, one would be hard-pressed to question whether or not he’s capable of delivering solid laughs. What’s more interesting is speculating if he can match the energy and tone of the FX cult hit. (Screenrant)

No stranger to acting, Diddy last appeared in 2010’s Get Him to the Greek flick and has had minor television cameos.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to appear in the upcoming season It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The hip-hop mogul and occasional actor’s most recent comedic role was in the 2010 feature Get Him to the Greek. Details on Combs’ character are under wraps, but he’s scheduled to start filming his guest spot on the FX comedy on Monday. His recent TV credits in Hawaii Five-0 and CSI: Miami. Over the winter, Puff announced plans to launch his own television network called Revolt.

“The revolution will be televised. Today is a very, very big day. I am here to announce my new cable network, Revolt. I’d first like to say thank-you to Comcast, the Comcast Diversity Council and NBC for recognizing the importance of minority ownership in cable television,” Diddy said in a video. “When I was growing up, I used to watch television all the time and wonder, ‘Why don’t those people look like me?’ … So thank-you to Comcast, my hat goes off to you for being the first to step up and I would also like to encourage and invite Time Warner, DirectTV, Cable Vision and all the other distributors to come and get down with the get down because Revolt TV is bringing that revolution that television needs.” (P Twitty TV)
