Ciroc Vodka mogul Diddy has issued a formal apology for calling his competitors' products "pee pee."
Speaking from his bubble bath, Diddy released a video to the public.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I come to you today as a man,” Diddy says, “I feel like only a true man steps up to the plate. And people may not agree with his position and that man says, ‘I’m sorry.’ I’m sorry to all I may have offended. We’re sorry for being the best… I am sorry that I came out with these flavors that taste so good — I am sorry that the competition sales are down and we’re up, there’s nothing I could do about that, nothing I can do about the way your vodka tastes. I am sorry that I am coming to you live from a bubble bath. I’m sorry. I’m not really sorry, this tastes good. Ciroc Vodka.” (P. Twitty TV)
Diddy’s initial remarks made headlines last month.
The man leading the charge is Martin Silver — the uber-millionaire behind Georgi Vodka. Silver claims he was sorely offended when he heard that Diddy took the mic in a NY nightclub last week and announced, “If you’re not drinking Ciroc vodka, then you’re drinking pee pee.” Silver says he’s so outraged that he plans on dumping several liters of Diddy’s drink into a “large toilet bowl” — and will deliver the crapper to the rapper … unless he gets an apology. The pissing match will go down tomorrow afternoon … if he’s not too yellow to follow through with it. (TMZ)
Georgi Vodka owner Martin Silver recently took his personal issues involving Diddy’s remarks to his New York City office.
Martin Silver, chief executive officer of Star Industries, filled a toilet bowl with bottles of Ciroc vodka and tried to deliver it to the hip-hop honcho’s midtown office. “It is not right what he did,” said Silver, whose Long Island-based liquor company makes the popular Georgi vodka. Thursday’s stunt backfired when security guards at Combs’ office wouldn’t let Silver and his assistant into the building with the toilet. “Will P. Diddy talk to us to rectify the situation?” Silver asked the security guards, who responded with unwelcoming expletives. Silver left with the commode when someone upstairs threw a roll of toilet paper out a window. (New York Daily News)
In February, Diddy said his liquor line would help promote Trina‘s upcoming Amazin’ album while she lends her image to his company.
“Things are gonna be real big,” Diddy said about Trina. “She’s an official Ciroc girl…Ciroc is gonna be promoting her album, she’s gonna be helping us, we gonna be doing it together. We got a new partnership that we rocking with but most importantly, the record and a video is off the chain…You gonna see us performing the joint live, too. She’s gonna have the full-length chinchilla and just be buckey-naked with some stickies on. You know what I’m saying, because the body is thorough.
