Diddy said he is also saving space for artists like singer Janelle Monae.

“On Last Train to Paris, Wayne is on the album, Drake is on the album, we’re trying to get Hov on the album, trying to get Janelle Monae on the album,” Diddy said in an interview. “Everybody that’s on the album, it’s not done in a regular appearance way. It’s done in a unique way that’s authentic. It’s not about a single or [album sales]. It doesn’t have that behind it. Wayne is on a record that’s called ‘Strobe Lights.’ It’s one of the first records where I hear him talking about love and how love has affected him. That’s the type of things I wanted to get out of people if they were on the album. I wanted people to get out of their comfort zone and do something that was special. He did the video for me over the weekend. ‘Strobe Lights,’ it’s gonna be tough.” (MTV)

Diddy recently said his rap lyrics have been improving.

“On the rap tip, everybody’s like, ‘Come on Puff, we want you to give it to us the way you used to,'” Puff explained to radio personality Tim Westwood. “Like, take it to the essence and I’m gonna be doing more of that stuff but also, on The Last Train to Paris, I’m evolving. It’s time to take some risks, it’s time for me to make some true soul music, a lot of records out right now don’t mean anything, they don’t have no depth and instead of me complaining about it, I wanted to do something to lead the way to show there’s other creative things you could do.” (Tim Westwood TV)

Last December, the mogul said he did not have a set date for the album.

Then there’s his coming album, Last Train to Paris, which was supposed to come out in September but has been pushed back to 2010. “I don’t know the exact month,” Diddy said about the release date. “We’re going to have it come out when it’s ready. We’re bringing everything together, editing it down. We did 60 songs. Also, we’re figuring out what’s missing.” (Chicago Tribune)

The album was originally slated for a fall 2009 release.

“It’s deeper than any of the other stuff I have ever made,” Diddy said. “Last Train to Paris comes out in September…T-Pain gave me permission to use the vocoder, the auto-tune, and he showed me various tricks that nobody knows but him and myself.” (All Headline News)

No further details have been released as of now.
