[With his new “The Real George” music video still buzzing, Detroit’s Lil George talks to SOHH about getting co-signs and love from a competitive New York market.]
When I first got [to New York], it was crazy. DJ Envy, he co-signed me. He was one of the first ones.
Charli Baltimore co-signed me. DJ Kay Slay co-signed me. “Sway In The Morning” co-signed me. So it was like a lot of people. It’s brand new to me.
It was wonderful because once I seen Sway, I was like, “Dang,” because I had only seen him on videos.

We had a great show and he gave me good advice. My [business affiliate] Dove told me he doesn’t do that often.

For him to take time out to speak to me one-on-one after the interview, it showed me a lot.
So I gotta stand up for something.
