Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne won't be touching a recording booth anytime soon as reports claim he still remains in the intensive care unit of Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
According to the latest reports, Wayne has now been hospitalized for nearly an entire week.
Lil Wayne is still in rough shape … and remains in the intensive care unit at an L.A. hospital 6 days after being admitted for seizures stemming from a suspected drug overdose … TMZ has learned. Sources tell us … Wayne’s condition has not improved enough to be moved out of the ICU … and he continues to be monitored very closely by staff at L.A..’s Cedars-Sinai hospital. Over the weekend, close friend T.I. updated fans on Wayne’s well-being at Austin, Texas’ South By Southwest music festival.

Prior to Young Money’s Nicki Minaj coming, Wayne had star-studded friends passing through including Drake and Birdman.
Some of hip hops biggest names are converging on Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to check in on Young Money’s Lil Wayne, RumorFix is reporting. Drake and Birdman visited Wayne after he reportedly had multiple seizures. Birdman tweeted on Friday, “My son is feelin Good.will be home real soon.YMCMB” Weezy also got a visit from LA Clippers guard Chris Paul and his wife. Unconfirmed reports say the famous rapper went on a binge of Sizzurp and doctors had to pump his stomach three times to get the drugs out. (RumorFix)
A Young Money publicist confirmed Weezy suffered a seizure heading into the weekend.
Sarah Cunningham, a publicist with the Young Money record label, acknowledged that Lil Wayne had a seizure. The public relations department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Los Angeles hospital where the rapper is reportedly being treated, did not confirm or deny that Lil Wayne is there, per its policy. The rapper’s independent publicist, Kia Selby, said only, “Lil Wayne is doing well.” She strongly denied reports he was in a medically induced coma, as reported by TMZ. (CNN)
