G.O.O.D. Music‘s Desiigner could not contain himself at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. The “Panda” hitmaker let loose during presumed rap rival Future’s live performance.
Footage has surfaced of Desiigner losing himself during the Atlanta rap star’s “Commas” set.
The face Desiigner makes is funny in and of itself. But his uncomfortable bopping and tense half-smile is even more hilarious considering that the Panda breakout has been called a Future knock-off for the entirety of his short career. While Desiigner has attempted to brush off such comparisons, Future has repeatedly dismissed the 19-year-old Brooklyn rapper, taking jabs at him during an April concert and telling Rolling Stone in his recent cover story, “I don’t even want his name in the article.” (USA Today)

In late July, Desiigner said his music-making ways and overall style is different from Future.
“My style, my funk, my performance, my charisma. The way I deliver my songs. That’s what makes me different. I stay humble. The second you see me on stage doing my thing, you know I’m not like the rest. I stay crazy.” (Interview)
Last month, Designer trolled Future by performing his “I Got The Keys” during a live show.

Within a recent Rolling Stone magazine cover feature, Future specifically requested Desiigner’s name not to appear in the write-up.
Brooklyn rapper Desiigner has been dominating radio with “Panda,” a song so derivative in its lyrics and production that Mike Will, for one, thought it was a Future track on first listen. (Future is reluctant to address this subject: “I never worried about anyone else … I don’t even want his name in the article,” he says of Desiigner.) (Rolling Stone)
Designer sounds like shit.
