Southern rapper/producer David Banner has social media buzzing after giving hip-hop trio Migos an unexpected co-sign this weekend.
Banner hopped onto his Twitter page Sunday (May 29) and said Migos do not get the respect they deserve as innovators.
Back in March, Migos’ Quavo posted up a couple group pics alongside rap star Kanye West and hinted at a studio session going down.
Migos’ Takeoff explained his crew’s stance on creating the dab dance move and spoke on their rift with rapper Bow Wow over it a few months ago.
“He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Dabbin’ is a way of fashion. It ain’t got nothing to do with no smoke. We don’t smoke no type of dab. We don’t know what he’s talking about. It looks like crack. So I don’t know. Dabbin’ is about fashion and we just needed something to break the stage, all our brothers, we just needed something to do.” (The Shade Room)
A screenshot of Bow Wow lashing back at Migos for dissing him over his opinion on where it originated surfaced online a few days prior.
