New York rapper Dave East is all about holding down the Big Apple. The overnight hip-hop star has flexed his love for mentor and Mass Appeal boss Nas.
Early Monday, East went to Instagram with a co-sign of Nas’ It Was Written album.
This past weekend, East saluted fellow Harlem native Jim Jones on his new Roc Nation deal.
Rap veteran Talib Kweli recently told SOHH he had his eyes on Dave’s grind.
“I travel and tour too much to really be up on the newest latest out of Brooklyn. Joey [Bada$$] is easing into a comfortable role as ambassador of hip-hop culture between generations, while not losing his edge.Young M.A has just one song, she has work to do.
