Dave East Comes Face To Face W/ Drake’s Day One: “Respect It”

Rap newcomer Dave East is steady grinding. The hip-hop artist made sure to rub elbows with greatness this past weekend by linking up with music star Drake’s pops.

East went to Instagram Monday (April 17) with a shot of himself and Dennis Graham.

Recently, East delivered epic bars and freestyled to Drake’s infectious “Free Smoke” single.

A few weeks ago, rap veteran Talib Kweli talked to SOHH about hip-hop newcomers like Dave East and Young M.A.

“I travel and tour too much to really be up on the newest latest out of Brooklyn. Joey [Bada$$] is easing into a comfortable role as ambassador of hip-hop culture between generations, while not losing his edge. Young M.A has just one song, she has work to do.
