The ex of rap mogul Dame Dash, Linda Williams, has reportedly filed a $1 million lawsuit against the Roc-A-Fella co-founder on accusations of harassing their son and lying to police.
Reports of the lawsuit landed online Friday (June 4) afternoon.
Tell it to the judge, Damon: Linda Williams is suing her ex Damon Dash for $1 million in compensatory damages, claiming that he harassed their son, Damon 2nd, and lied to the NYPD. In court papers that surfaced on Tuesday, Williams’ attorneys claim that Damon “threatened” their son after he found the 17-year-old deejaying in an NYC nightclub and then held the teen against his will in his apartment. When Williams then attempted to get a restraining order against her ex, she claims, Dash provided false testimony that she had sent him 10 e-mails earlier that summer, which violated a Family Court protective order. So is Dash going to show her the money? The music mogul, who didn’t reply to a request for comment by deadline, conveniently says he’s broke. (New York Daily News)
Dash has been involved in multiple relationships after separating from Williams.
After splitting with Williams, Dash had high-profile relationships with singer Aaliyah before her 2001 passing and fashion designer Rachel Ray, the mother of his two daughters Ava and Talullah, until their 2009 divorce. (XXL Mag)
Last month, Dame said recent talk about his financial problems was exaggerated.
“I started to go through a lot of bad press all of a sudden,” he explains of the period following the sale of his shares in Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear Clothing. “Like, the recession hit everybody, but me being a businessman and motherf*ckers getting caught up in the storm, all my issues were completely public. And completely exaggerated. So the recession sh*t happens, I don’t give a f*ck.” (YRB Magazine)
Last fall, Dame explained his addiction to financial success.
“I have fun everyday,” Dash said about his life post-Roc-A-Fella. “The problem is, I think people take themselves a little bit too serious. I’m happy to be a part of history so many different times in so many different ways. I’m from a place where you have your ups and your downs. That’s not really what I’m concerned about. It don’t matter. I’m Dame Dash broke, I’m Dame Dash not broke — I’m Dame Dash when I got some money. But we also know that when Dame Dash got some money, he’s putting it into his businesses. I am a cake-aholic. My quality of living never really changes, ever! I’ve never had to sacrifice or compromise. Y’all actually seen a lot of my tragedies,” Dash said. “I know what real pain feels like. Y’all seen me cry…All this other stuff, because these people wanna sell papers and say things, I don’t care about that. I don’t defend myself.” (MTV)
