Back in 2012, Dash’s legal team addressed the situation.
Dash’s attorney also pointed out Curren$y’s decision to join Warner Bros. Music a couple years ago as violating a partnership.
“It is our position that Warner Brothers and Curren$y’s representatives were aware of the fact that Curren$y had a business relationship with DD172 when they caused him to sign to an exclusive ‘360’ record deal with Warner Brothers, and thus they were further aware that any purported exclusive deal with Curren$y would interfere with DD172’s rights.” (HHDX)
Back in July 2012, the New Orleans rapper said he had moved on from the dispute.
Curren$y initially admitted that he and Dash hadn’t spoken for a while, but this week, he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway that they will figure things out on their own. “I rolled that up too, that’s in the ashtray,” Curren$y said of the lawsuit against Dash. “I’m way too cool for a lot of that stuff, because I would always have to talk about it. I didn’t even do it because I didn’t feel like talking about that. So we’ll figure that out. We’re men.” (MTV)
