Kuniva said Tuesday’s election especially impressed him considering how easily President Obama defeated Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

“It was a good victory for everybody, especially for us,” Kuniva told SOHH referring to the Election Day results. “It was good to see the actual results of the hard work and dedication people had, sitting in those lines to go and vote. No matter what condition they were in, no power or no electricity, they still went and got the job done and made it happen. The results were beautiful. It’s like the things you do aren’t in vain all the time. … It was a landslide, so it was a good day. I did my part and my family did their part.” (SOHH)

He also touched on putting his differences aside and showing love to arch rival state Ohio.

“You know how it is with Ohio and Michigan man, [laughs], there’s no love lost between Ohio and Michigan. They hate us as equally as we hate them, [laughs], so I had to extend a shaky olive branch to Ohio,” Kuniva added. “Ohio did come through but we still got that [win] by a landslide. But still, they did do the right thing, they came through. They did the right thing in my eyes, as far as what my goal was. Shout-out to Ohio, y’all are all right this week but next week y’all are back to being a Buckeye.” (SOHH)

Yesterday, Kuniva got on his Twitter page to ask Ohioans to cast their vote for President Obama.

“Ohio…don’t y’all f*ck us in this. I’ll NEVER go back to Cedar Point or Kahlahari if y’all f*ck me!! And I LOVE Kahlahari!,” he tweeted November 6th.

“Yeah!!!!! I love you Ohio!!!!”

“Obama!! all that Ohio “F*ckeyes” stuff is out the window…until the next sports event…” (Kuniva’s Twitter)

Political strategists said Ohio would play a key role in who won the presidency.

It’s official: Barack Obama has been re-elected as the 44th president of the United States. The president claimed victory over Mitt Romney after winning the pivotal state of Ohio, tweeting his supporters: “This happened because of you. Thank you. We’re all in this together. That’s how we campaigned, and that’s who we are. Thank you. -bo” A crowd at a Chicago convention center began cheering and dancing after the Ohio call, as The Supreme’s “You Can’t Hurry Love” over loudspeakers. (USA Today)
