Former G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Consequence has responded to recent remarks by Pusha T along the lines of him no longer having relevancy and how his public feud with rapper Kanye West is pathetic.

Acknowledging Pusha’s comments, Cons said he is ultimately the one who must prove himself under Ye’s watch.

“You know, it’s just a lot of people talking. Well, not a lot of people talking. It’s one guy talking, and he’s talking about how what I’m doing is pathetic,” Cons said referring to Pusha. “And I think it’s really funny that he says that, because the pressure’s not on me. The pressure’s on him, and that guy is Pusha T. The pressure’s not on me because I’m not on G.O.O.D. Music, and I ain’t been signed to G.O.O.D. Music for a year and [still] don’t have a solid release date. I’m gonna be real with you.” (Hip Hop DX)

Cons also said while his feud with Pusha may continue, he is falling back on name-checking Yeezy.

“I mean, just so we’re clear, what I’m saying is this: what I said I was gonna do, I did. I’m a man of integrity. I’m a man of principle, you know what I’m saying? There never will be clear resolve in the public if I’m the only one saying something about a situation, so as far as me and Kanye goes, he doesn’t mention me so I’m not gonna continue to mention the situation. I said my piece. As far as Pusha T, for him to jump out and say somebody is pathetic and some artists don’t pop, [just because he thinks] he’s from a standpoint where he’s up. . . You not up because you signed to GOOD Music. That don’t mean you up. Sh*t when I signed with G.O.O.D., I didn’t wait a year for distribution and never had to speak on the next man’s release status. We were too busy getting busy [recording]. If you were so up, why weren’t you on [Jay-Z & Kanye West’s] Watch the Throne? Even I was on Beyonce’s [4] album and I don’t even roll with them!” (Hip Hop DX)

In late August, Pusha said Cons was out of line for blaming his career on Ye.

“I just think it’s pretty pathetic, man. It all boils down to royalty, and having certain principles. Nobody maliciously tries to do anything,” Pusha explained in an interview. “This is a business, and sometimes things don’t work — some artists don’t pop. But I don’t think you blame the head of that crew for it, especially in a business like this, which is so self-sufficient. It’s really unfortunate, but what can you say?” (NY Mag)

Former G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Twista recently gave his input on the feud.

“It’s really an unfortunate situation,” Twista said in an interview. “I wish those brothers could have really sat down and talked before that type of stuff goes public, ’cause it’s really an in-house type of situation. You see it happen in sports all the time – in the locker, they say what happens stays in the locker room. I feel like that’s something they could have talked it out about, because it’s happened before. I’ve seen it happen with Remy Ma and Fat Joe. The crews got to start trying to keep they business like that in-house, and hash sh*t out so that everybody won’t think that we just all about getting to tour with each other and not being able to work our business out. There’s money out here for all of us. We shouldn’t have to go at each other here like that, especially when we’re all here together.” (WGCI)
