Former super couple Common and tennis star Serena Williams have reportedly gotten back together after splitting up last May.
They were both spotted on a beach yesterday in Florida.
Looks like things are on again between Serena Williams and Common, who split up a few months ago after two years together. They were spotted leaving the Dolphins-Patriots game in Miami last night. And earlier in the day, they were seen having fun on the beach together. (USA Today)
Common and Serena split ways a few months ago.
Serena Williams and rapper Common have had an off-and-on relationship for a couple of years. Despite Common saying he planned to get married back in May (though not specifically to Serena), the couple split later in the month. Serena explained that Common’s demanding schedule made it tough for him to maintain their relationship. Well, only a few months later it seems like the two could not live without one another. Prior to their unexpected break-up, they were reportedly together for roughly 24 months.
According to In Touch magazine, a source close to the two celebs claims that they ended their two-year relationship because they “just grew apart.” Serena was noticeably absent at the May 4 premier of Common’s film ‘Just Wright,’ which was his first starring role. Last week the Windy City MC told TV personality Wendy Williams that he’s not ready to settle down just yet, “It would be a great thing but I can’t say that right now,” Common explained. “I would love to be married and have children someday. So if Serena is that person, it would be a lovely thing.” (The Boom Box)
Aside from romance, Common is currently starring in an upcoming AMC television show.
Common will star as a half-black, half-white freed slave in “Hell on Wheels,” a show about the building of the Transcontinental Railroad in the 1860s. The role of Elam is Common’s first leading role on television, according to AMC’s press release. The two-time Grammy winner has also had roles in the films “Just Wright,” “Date Night,” “Terminator Salvation” and “Smokin’ Aces.” The pilot will be shot in Alberta, Canada, next month.
