G.O.O.D. Music's Common recently talked about his experience at Kanye West's publicized wedding last May and dished on the beauty of celebrating the special day in Italy. #MemoryLane
Common described the magical May 24 event along the lines of feeling royal.
While he didn’t work with Kanye West on this album, he did attend his fairytale wedding. “That was a very special wedding in the way that it was fun,” he said. “I had been to Italy, but never to Florence. It felt very family-oriented, very simple but beautiful, and it felt like they cared about the guests. The way we were treated, it was royal. Everything was simple and beautiful and we had the best time.” (Rap-Up)
Recently, Bad Boy Records’ French Montana addressed his publicized no-show.
When we found out French Montana wouldn’t be joining Khloe Kardashian as her date for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding extravaganza, we were worried it was because he didn’t make the guest list. But after listening carefully to French’s verse in Diddy’s new “We Dem Boyz” remix, we now know the real reason the rapper missed the wedding of the century — and it may surprise you! At the 2:55 mark on the track, French raps, “You can’t be serious. While she did not give a definite answer, Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner spoke on close pals Jay Z and Beyoncé going ghost.
During an interview with Australia radio station KIIS 106.5 FM on Tuesday, the E! reality star shared that Kimye’s wedding weekend was unaffected by the power couple’s absence. “There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought,” Kim’s mother explained. “If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone’s mind.” She added, “[I] just assumed they were working.” (E! Despite the absence, Queen Bey jumped onto her Instagram page to congratulate the newlyweds.
“Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family,” Bey captioned to a photo of Kanye and his family. (Beyoncé’s Instagram)
