Chris Brown Hits The Street After Arrest, Trey Songz Spotted At Courthouse

R&B singer Chris Brown can finally breathe the air of a free man as reports claim he has been released from jail after getting locked up on an assault charge over the weekend.

According to reports, Chris Breezy left jail Monday (October 28) and also had his charge reduced to a misdemeanor.

The charges against singer Chris Brown and his bodyguard stemming from a weekend fight were reduced to simple assault misdemeanors Monday. The two men, who had spent the previous 36 hours in a Washington jail, entered a packed courtroom in leg irons and handcuffs, but at the end they were unshackled and released without bail Monday afternoon. Brown, 24, was ordered to report to his California probation officer within 48 hours and to stay at least 100 yards away from the man he is accused of assaulting early Sunday. Both men must return to court on November 24. (CNN)

Despite the serious accusations, the singer’s attorney said Breezy did nothing wrong.

“Christopher Brown committed no crime,” his attorney Danny Onorato told reporters after the hearing. “We understand that his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, as he is authorized to do under District of Columbia law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.” (CNN)

Prior to appearing in court, R&B singer Trey Songz displayed his support for Brown in Washington, DC.

Chris Brown’s legal woes continued to escalate after the singer was arrested after an altercation reportedly broke out in Washington D.C. this past weekend. The singer and his bodyguard were allegedly arrested on assault Sunday morning. Brown is expected to be in court this afternoon.
