R&B star Chris Brown appears to have returned to popular social networking site Twitter nearly a week after pulling the plug on his page following a publicized dispute.

Although he has yet to post any new comments as of Sunday (December 2) morning, the music star’s page is fully back up and running.

Though there are no new tweets to announce his return, Chris Brown has quietly resurfaced after disappearing from Twitter following an ugly exchange with TV producer Jenny Johnson. Oddly, though some tweets have been deleted, several of the most vulgar are intact. We’re not sure what message Brown or his management is trying to send by reactivating his account, but the presence of the Jenny Johnson tweets seems to show an apology isn’t likely — not that we were expecting one. The platinum-selling performer deleted his page after a publicized exchange with female comedian Jenny Johnson.

“I look old as (expletive)! I’m only 23…,” Brown wrote. Johnson, who has more than 308,000 followers, replied: “I know! Being a worthless piece of (expletive) can really age a person.” Her comment was retweeted more than 3,400 times. That set off Brown, who’s gained a reputation as a hothead after beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and pleading guilty in a felony assault case. The pair has apparently patched up their relationship, and reportedly spent Thanksgiving together, although Brown continues to be plagued by the domestic violence rap. His latest Twitter feud with Johnson may only add more fuel to the fire. In response, Brown tweeted that she was engaging in oral sex with him, and later wrote, “Thanks HO!” when she corrected him about a misspelling. (New York Daily News)

Heading into the weekend, Johnson addressed what went down and firmly said she would not apologize.

“This is not an apology. I just want to clear some things up. My first thought following my Twitter exchange with Chris Brown on Sunday was to ignore it until it went away. The exchange I’m referencing would be the one where he tweeted he looked old for 23, and I replied with a not-so-kind comment. From there we discussed farts, spelling, past events, bushpigs, and which part of my eye he wanted to go number two on. It ended with him deactivating his Twitter account. … I won’t say I regret what I did, but I will say I have learned from it. I chose to turn a lazy Sunday watching football with my husband into a total sh*tstorm. I never thought I’d see the chicks on The View attempt to break down our interaction on Twitter (if they only knew how little thought and effort go into anything I tweet, there is literally nothing to break down). I didn’t think I would be invited to be a guest on their show or any other TV or radio program.” (Statement)

Coincidentally, Brown talked about being more mature on Twitter prior to the explicit feud taking place.

“I haven’t been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it’s showing my progression,” Brown said in an interview. “I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it’s cool then it’s, ‘What’s up?’ But if it’s anything that’s too negative, I don’t care to respond.” (XXL Magazine)
