Based on an excerpt from his feature, Chris Breezy speaks on an array of topics including Jigga, anger management issues and slain teenager Trayvon Martin.

“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that (Jay Z) stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.” Brown addresses his own anger-management problem: “You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part. I don’t try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be.” “I got to the point where it’s only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I’ve taken my fair share of lashings.” The controversial star also aligns himself Trayvon Martin: “I identify with Trayvon 100% as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism. This generation is so used to racism that it’s normal; we don’t care. We aren’t on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as (n-word).” (USA Today)

Since the early 2000’s, Jay has had limited run-ins with law enforcement.

When you think of Jay Z, you probably think of one of hip-hop’s most prominent and influential pioneers — an acclaimed artist and, as of late, a devoted family man. You probably don’t think about the crack cocaine he’s admitted, via his music, to dealing. Or the fact that in 2001, he pleaded guilty to stabbing a record executive two years earlier (Jay blamed the producer, Lance “Un” Rivera, for bootlegging Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter). Last month, Chris Breezy hinted at stepping away from the music scene in light of being judged for his now-infamous attack on ex-girlfrirend Rihanna in 2009.

“Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album.,” he tweeted August 6.

“Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!” (Chris Brown’s Twitter)

According to mid-summer reports, Chris Breezy’s addition to a Canada music event immediately made a company remove itself from being involved.

A concert event in Canada scheduled to go down next month finds itself down one sponsor after they decided to pull out of the event once Chris Brown was added to the lineup. A spokesman for Rogers Communications confirmed on Twitter last night the company was pulling its name from the show, which is scheduled to go down August 31 in Halifax. Responding to several complaints on Twitter, the spokesman wrote, “In light of today’s announcement, we’re withdrawing our sponsorship of the event.” He continued, “Rogers agreed to sponsor Energy Rush prior to Chris Brown’s choice as a performer.” No way to mistake their meaning … they want NO PART of anything involving CB.
