On the revamped Jeezy track, CB appears to reference Drizzy’s “Started From the Bottom” track with a subliminal diss.

If you thought Chris Brown and Drake were getting any closer to deading their feud, think again. Breezy took the opportunity to throw a shot to his musical nemesis when he appeared on the remix of Young Jeezy’s “R.I.P.” single, which dropped Friday (March 29) on DramaLikeTheDJ.com. “Dearly departed, I bought a plane I departed/ And if you started from the bottom, go on and come out the closet,” Chris rhymes on the song’s final verse, making a clear reference to Drake and his “Started from the Bottom” single. The two made major headlines last June after a now-infamous bottle-throwing brawl in a New York City nightclub, which reportedly involved both men and members of their respective entourages. While the feud has quietly carried on, there has been a subliminal war of words brewing. (MTV)

Coincidentally, Brown killed speculation of having any current issues with the Toronto native this week.

“People can coexist. It’s not entertainment for me. It’s just more of me being real, saying what I gotta say. I ain’t out here trying to go at him, I ain’t got n*ggas after him. I ain’t got ‘people’ after him. We just chilling. I have my differences and he has his — his music’s still hot. … I’m not gonna put myself in a situation to mess up my career. Focus on what it is. Focus on your music.” (Power 106)

Drake is rumored to have taken a shot at Chris on his own “5 AM in Toronto” track.

And there are thinly-veiled shots at Common: “I’m headed to the bank n*gga/ Sinatra lifestyle, I’m just being Frank, n*gga.” Addresses his beef with Chris Brown: “Bad press during the summer over allegations/ I ain’t lyin’, my n*gga, my time is money/ That’s why I ain’t got time for a n*gga who’s time is comin.” And his rumored romance with Rihanna: “Where you think she at when she ain’t with you?/ Wildin’, doin’ sh*t that’s way out of your budget/ Owl sweaters inside her luggage, you gotta love it/ D*mn, this sh*t could go on a tape.” (The Boom Box)

Last summer, the R&B singer went directly at Drizzy with his “I Don’t Like” freestyle.

“A f*ck n*gga, that’s the sh*t I don’t like / They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models, ’cause I give a b*tch long pipe / Doin’ shows on the soccer field, that’s dome, right? / I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on sight / But hold up, I ain’t give a n*gga no green light / This head up, my bread up, one-on-one, what, you scared, bruh? / Matter of fact, take care, bruh / You a p*ssy n*gga / My n*gga Tunechi, yeah that n*gga nice / Shout out to Nicki, man, that a** tight / Them eyebrows? Man, them sh*ts is yikes / OVO, you overdose, screamin’ Y.O.L.O. though, I live twice!” (“Don’t Like” Freestyle)
