Chris Brown Addresses Alleged Battered-Up Rihanna Neck Tattoo

R&B star Chris Brown has stepped forward to silence rumors and gossip which suggest his new neck tattoo is an image of ex-girlfriend Rihanna with bruises throughout her face.

According to Chris Breezy’s representative, the new ink job has no direct connection to RiRi.

Chris Brown’s latest piece of ink has been the subject of lots of speculation on Tuesday (September 11) and had some fans wondering just what Brown’s latest tattoo is supposed to resemble. The ink on Brown’s neck is of a woman’s face with strange markings on it. Brown’s rep has issued a statement to respond to the allegations that the image is of his pop star ex, Rihanna. “His tattoo is a sugar skull [associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead] and a MAC cosmetics design he saw,” the rep tells TMZ. “It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported.” The photo of the tat in question was taken in Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend, but it managed to go under the radar until now. Buzz surrounding Brown’s neck tat began heating up the Internet at the start of this week.

Chris Brown insists his brand new neck tattoo is NOT a bizarre homage to Rihanna — but if you look closely, the resemblance is uncanny. The last photo we’ve seen of Chris without the tat is dated August 30th and the above photo was taken on September 1st, so CB got the ink job at some point between those two dates … nearly a week before Rihanna kissed him at the MTV VMAs. Sources really close to Chris tell us any similarities the tat has with Rihanna’s face are purely coincidental — “It’s a random woman.” (TMZ)

The ink also comes days after Rihanna got a publicized tattoo under her breasts.

Fresh off of a highly anticipated MTV VMA performance and the kiss heard around the world, Rihanna took to Instagram to flash her new tattoo over the weekend. The Barbados-born fashionista flaunted her bangin bawwwdy in a mid-drift top earlier this weekend, which also showed what many assumed to be tape covering up some new ink…..and they were right. The former couple made headlines after locking lips at last week’s annual Video Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Are Rihanna and Chris Brown confirming a rekindled romance? The two pop stars shared a kiss on Sept. 6 during the MTV Video Music Awards — in front of the entire crowd. There’s certainly no shame in that lip lock! We certainly know that Rihanna wanted Chris at the awards show. A friend of Chris told EXCLUSIVELY, “He knows Rihanna will be there. She texted him on [Sept. 4] and told him ‘do what you want to and get ya a** there — I want to see you.’ He was hyped and was like, ‘man f**k that, I’m going.'” (Hollywood Life)
