Slated to drop later this year, Chingy said the follow-up to 2007’s Hate It or Love It will be all about risks.

“The album is called No Risk, No Reward 13 because if you don’t take those risks, you won’t get where you need to get in life,” he told Rap-Up.com. “And the ’13’ represents rebirth. So for me, this is the rebirth of my presence as an artist, not that I’ve been dead but I’ve been musically out for the last three to four years so it’s the rebirth of Chingy.” (Rap-Up)

Chingy’s album will be released through his Full Dekk/Busic Group label and is equipped with two new singles.

Chingy plans to begin 2011 with the release of two singles. The first, “Superhero” single featuring Chris Woodhouse, and his second single “Paperman.” Chingy will release his fifth studio album, No Risk No Reward in the third quarter of 2011. (Full Dekk Music)

In 2009, Chingy put out his underground effort, 1st Quarter.

After a two-year hiatus, multi-platinum artist Chingy is back with his full-length digital project 1st Quarter. The mixtape-style album will be released on May 12 on Chingy’s own Slot-A-Lot Records in conjunction with Gracie Productions, and features 13 exclusive tracks with features from Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Trey Songz and HB Monte. Songs include “P*ssy N*gga,” “Hatin On Myself,” “Balla,” “Lovely Ladies” and “2 Kool 2 Dance.” (Hip Hop Press)

His last full length studio album, Hate It or Love It, pushed 31,000 copies in its December 2007 release.

Unhappy with the way he felt Capitol was promoting their urban artists, Chingy jumped ship and went back to DTP which was by-then a part of the Def Jam family. Hate It or Love It would arrive on the label in 2007 but its debut at number 84 on the album chart would also become its highest position. (All Music)
