Keef hopped onto his Twitter page late Saturday (November 9) and alerted the City of Angels of his arrival.

“In Los Angeles Ain’t Seen It In A lil Minute ???? AlmightyGloGod http://instagram.com/p/gg5ru2yQXt/,” Keef tweeted November 9 along with photos of him at an airport. (Chief Keef’s Twitter)

Buzz behind Keef getting out of jail and preparing for a Cali stint surfaced heading into the weekend.

Chief Keef’s a free man again … sorta … TMZ has learned he’s been released from jail in Chicago and is supposed to check into rehab in California for his weed problems. As TMZ reported … the 18-year-old rapper had been on probation for speeding … but landed back in court this week after testing positive for marijuana on three random drug tests. A Chicago judge ordered Keef to rehab … ’cause he clearly can’t stop smoking bud. But … there’s still the matter of his community service … which he’ll begin serving in Chicago after he finishes his stint at the California facility. Keef’s lawyer tells us… Chief left jail around 2:15 P.M. CST today … and his lawyer tells us he’ll arrive in LA either tomorrow or Sunday. (TMZ)

Details of Chief’s latest legal woes surfaced online late Wednesday (November 6).

Teen rapper Chief Keef, who has been in and out of jail multiple times this year, was ordered into a 90-day residential drug treatment program after failing two drug tests, the Cook County sheriff’s office said Wednesday. The 18-year-old, whose real name is Keith Cozart, appeared before a judge in Skokie Wednesday and was being transferred to the Cook County Jail Wednesday afternoon. (DNA Info)

Keef won’t have time to lay down new records with the 90-day drug treatment sentence on deck.

He will likely spend at least one night in jail before being transferred to Haymarket Center, a residential drug treatment facility where he must complete a 90-day sentence, the sheriff’s office said. “In court Finna go to Jail Judge Wants to send me Back,” the rapper tweeted at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday after appearing at the Skokie Courthouse. “Judge Putting me Back in jail See y’all later” (DNA Info)

Chief was released from a jail stint a few weeks ago.

After just nine days in the Cook County Jail for failing a required drug test, the rapper known as Chief Keef was released Wednesday morning. Keith Cozart, 18, walked out of the jail at 8:55 a.m., according to Cook County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari. He had been in jail since Oct. 15, when he was ordered to jail for 20 days after testing positing for marijuana. Cozart received one day’s credit from the sentencing judge. The sheriff’s office confirmed he received another 10 days credit but could not provide further details. (Chicago Sun-Times)
